When considering the floor slab for your new warehouse, logistics facility or cold store, think about your operational requirements and the impact on the life cost value of your building.

Traditional concrete floor slab designs contain saw cuts roughly every 6m.

### **What is a saw cut?**

Essentially a saw cut is a straight crack that has the potential to rapidly deteriorate costing you substantial sums of money and disrupt your business operations for years to come.

Even the best flooring contractors cannot prevent the breakdown of saw cut joints when they are trafficked in todays modern warehouses, so why specify them for your new floor?

### **What is the answer?**

The UK Concrete Society(TR34) has advocated that *"..... an ideal floor would be perfectly flat and have no joints"*

Specify a large bay 'jointless' or 'seamless' concrete floor slab that contains **no saw cut joints** and choose a specialist flooring contractor offering an in-house design and build service to avoid any split responsibilities.
