The ASC refinery, situated in Bahrain's Industrial Investment Park, has full production capacity of around 600,000 tonnes a year.
Sugar is a very heavy commodity when stored in large bags and traditionally has required a very thick concrete floor slab to carry the loads.
The project followed the Twintec Design-Build-Guarantee concept with total responsibility being taken for the concrete floor slab package. A Twintec value engineered slab design provided a significant saving for the client.
