Key Facts For Consultants
Steel fibre designs offer significant advantages for the design of slabs for the heavy equipment industry often resulting in value engineered designs, thinner slab depths and large ‘jointless’ or totally seamless floors designed to cope with significant loadings and aggressive machinery demands placed on the slab.
Floor slab design to meet clients' operational needs and the often harsh environment conditions, considering equipment, e.g. mobile equipment parts being dragged along the floor, and incorporating the latest construction joints, fibres, concrete technologies and hardeners to deliver a durable floor that will last the test of time.
Considering all the factors is key; not just the loading and operational requirements but also the daily temperature cycles and the amplitude of the daily temperature changes that can create thermal stress fatigue on a highly loaded slab.
Detailing at an early stage and co-ordination with all project parties is a critical success factor to the long-term performance of the floor slab. Twintec offer engineering support, quality assurance and peace of mind to all parties.
