United States Cold Storage manages more than 376 million cubic feet of temperature controlled warehouse and distribution space in 42 facilities across the US.
THE PROJECT
This new expansion of their location in Minooka, IL includes 119,000 ft2 of freezer space, featuring an automated storage and retrieval system, as well as 25,000 ft2 for a -38 degree truck dock.
The floor slab was reinforced with 75 lbs/yd3 of AFT+ 1/60 steel fibers and consisted of opening armored joints on the dock and fully tied joints in the ASRS Freezer.
