We are seeking an experienced and technically driven Design Engineer to support the development of safe, efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions across international projects.

The ideal candidate will combine strong structural engineering capabilities with expertise in concrete technology, analytical design and practical construction methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structural designs and calculations for concrete structures, including ground-bearing and suspended slabs.
• Analyse loading conditions, slab thickness, reinforcement requirements, joint arrangements and structural performance.
• Review drawings, geotechnical reports and technical specifications to establish design requirements.
• Develop safe, practical and cost-effective engineering solutions in accordance with relevant design codes and standards.
• Optimise designs to improve structural performance, constructability and material efficiency.
• Apply knowledge of concrete behaviour, durability, shrinkage, cracking and material properties.
• Review construction methodologies and provide technical guidance on concrete placement, reinforcement, joints and curing.
• Identify design and construction risks, recommending practical solutions to improve quality and minimise defects.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Contribute to the development of improved engineering methodologies, design tools and technical procedures.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; a relevant master's degree is advantageous.
• Experience in structural design, concrete engineering, industrial flooring or specialist engineering consultancy.
• Strong understanding of reinforced concrete design principles, structural analysis and concrete technology.
• Experience preparing structural calculations, engineering drawings, technical reports and design documentation.
• Knowledge of applicable international structural design codes and concrete standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant structural analysis or design software.
• Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) and BIM platforms is advantageous.
• Experience in steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC) design and industrial flooring systems would be highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
